BIOGRAPHY
Rebecca Jabs is a visual artist, science illustrator, and educator based in Wisconsin. Following 8 years as an art teacher, her dual interests in nature and art led her to California State University at Monterey Bay, where she completed the Science Illustration Graduate Program. Rebecca creates interpretive illustrations, graphics, and fine art across a variety of traditional and digital media. Her work honors the nature of the Great Lakes region with fidelity to accuracy and appreciation for the interconnectedness of ecosystems. Rebecca’s practice is informed by hours of fieldwork, reading from her collection of field guides, and collaborations with the scientific community.
